Physical and chemical characteristics

1. Fine-dispersed copper sulphate destined for using in feed additives has to be of grain-size (fractional) composition as follows:

  • 1st trade class — not more than 0.315 millimeters;

  • 2nd trade class — from 0.315 to 0.8 millimeters;

  • 3rd trade class — not more than 0.8 millimeters.

  • 1.1. 3rd trade class is homogeneous mixture of 1st trade class and 2nd trade class. 3rd trade class can be replaced with 2nd trade class.

    1.2. By agreement with commercial departments it is possible to produce fine-dispersed copper sulphate of other gran-sized compositions.

    1.4. Other requirements for physical and chemical characteristics are identical for all trade classes.

2. Anti-caking treatment is necessary in proportion of 1.0–2 per cent of whole amount of the product. An anti-caking agent can be silicon dioxide ( Е 551 ) or sodium aluminum silicate ( Е554).

3. Chemical compositions of all trade classes have to correspond with requirements specified in Table 01.
